On our way to Bath via Bruges

We are now en route to Bath. We have stopped in Bruges which has some beautiful architecture and lots of rain! From all of the staff we would like to thank the pupils for excellent company throughout the trip which has made it extremely enjoyable for all of us.

Haribo, Movie World and the Sidekick!

Today started with a much anticipated visit to the Haribo factory shop. Pupils were amazed by the sheer variety although Mrs Gardner found the amount of choice rather overwhelming.

The amount of Haribo nearly filled the luggage space in the coach. Packing tomorrow could be interesting!

We then travelled to Movie Park. Staff and pupils showed great resilience on the white knuckle rides although Mr Duke found sidekick a little outside of his comfort zone! A great day was had by all.

Cruising and Bowling

Today we enjoyed more fabulous weather. Pupils and staff had a relaxing time cruising on the Rhine before competing in ten pin bowling. There were a number of excellent techniques demonstrsred by various pupils and members of staff! The eventual winner amongst the pupils was Josh who scored an excellent 127. 

Cathedral and Chocolate

Today we visited Cologne and went into and on top of the Cathedral. After a brisk walk up over 550 steps many legs were like jelly!

Pupils then walked around the pedestrianised area in central Cologne answering a number of German questions. They were all then rewarded by a much anticipated trip to the chocolate museum.

A fun and busy first day

Since leaving school 19 hours ago we have been to France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. 

The pupils had a great time at Aqualand on the water slides and are happily eating their first German meals. Work books lie ahead before a much anticipated sleep!

Boarding the train

We are boarding the train an hour early. Mr Duke has explained everything in detail!
